Bottle Gripper
Technical Principle
The jaw closes around the bottle neck below the support ring. The jaw dimensions — 98.5mm long, 59mm wide — are matched to the target bottle neck profile. As the carrier rotates, the jaw holds the bottle through the rinsing or filling arc and releases it at the discharge point.
Where the jaw profile fits the neck geometry accurately, the holding force spreads evenly across the contact surface. This even distribution protects the jaw from concentrated wear and keeps grip behavior consistent at line speed. Where the fit is off, the force concentrates at fewer contact points, and the jaw surface deteriorates faster — producing less reliable grip before the next scheduled replacement arrives.

Operational Advantages
Filling and rinsing lines involve regular washdowns, product contact, and cleaning cycles. Food-grade 316L stainless steel performs well in this kind of environment. The material resists surface degradation under routine wet and chemical exposure on beverage production lines. This keeps the jaw profile accurate across more operating hours between replacements, which means maintenance teams are not dealing with grip problems before the replacement interval is due.
The jaw also endures a high number of open-close cycles per shift. Food-grade 316L stainless steel holds up under this repetitive mechanical loading. The contact surfaces wear gradually and evenly rather than developing sudden deformation, which makes service life predictable and supports forward planning for spare parts.
Dimensional consistency across production batches is part of how BJY approaches this part. The 98.5x59mm specification is maintained so that each replacement gripper installs and performs the same way as the last.
Customization Service
Where bottle format or line configuration requires a jaw geometry outside the standard 98.5x59mm, BJY manufactures to a customer-supplied sample. The sample defines the production reference. No drawings are needed. Surface treatment is available on request for applications where operating conditions call for additional protection at the jaw surface.
